Whitehead Petition Over Sea Defenses

frontResidents of Marine Parade in Whitehead have signed a petition about their concerns regarding sea defences along the promenade from the Rangers Club to the entrance of Blackhead Path. This small bit of coastline was one of the worst affected areas of the recent storms.  The houses were lashed with waves and wind.

They presented the petition to the Carrickfergus Building Control Committee on Monday 10 March.

Alderman Ashe asked council officers to find out the authorities that were responsible for the coastline defences and to organise an urgent meeting with the appropriate agencies.
