On Saturday 4th June 2016 Whitehead Methodist Church hosted their annual Men’s Group Coffee Morning and Sale from 10.30 til 3.00. This was the first event to be held in the new Church Hall which had been handed over from the contractor only two weeks previously.

Everyone thought the hall looked great and we were pleased that the Architect, Martin Walkington, was also present on the day.

The weather was kind to us and there were great crowds of people throughout. There was tea, coffee, scones and traybakes in the hall and a great number of items on sale from the Craft Class, Bric-a-Brac, Cake Stall and a wide variety of furniture and tools at the Salvage Yard.

A Face Painter kept the children amused and the artist Steve Diamond was on hand to mark the occasion by doing a watercolour painting of the new hall. The PSNI were present with one of their motor bikes which many chidren enjoyed sitting on to get their photos taken.

The total raised on the day was just under £3,000 which will go towards our Building Fund.
