On the fist Sunday of Advent (30 November) Whitehead Methodist Church held a Dedication service for its new organ and piano.
The organ is an Allen L-5 Bravura and the piano a Roland Digital Piano. Together both cost just over £14,000.
The organ was generously funded by Miss Vera Girvan in memory of her parents and the piano was funded by Miss Dorothy Watson in memory of her parents. The congregation is extremely grateful to both of them.
The organ was specially designed for the Church and it sounded fantastic.
The church’s previous organ was installed in 1987 after a major fund-raising effort by the choir and many other people. It has given great service but has now reached the stage where spare parts are unobtainable.
Everyone had a fantastic time at our annual Coffee Morning and Sale on 4 June. 
A beautiful painting by local artist Shirley Snook will be auctioned by Islandmagee Methodist Church.
