Methodist President’s Visit to Whitehead

On the 16 March the President of the Methodist Church in Ireland (MCI), Rev Dr Heather Morris, visited the Whitehead Methodist Church for a combined Islandmagee and Whitehead Sunday Morning Service. View some of the pictures taken of her visit above.

Her sermon was called ‘You are witnesses of these things’ which was inspiring and challenging.

The visit was part of the Rev Dr Morris’ tour of the North East District of the MCI. During her tour Rev Dr Morris visited all the Methodist Churches in the area as well as schools, playgoups, Women’s Aid projects,  neighbourhood policing teams, colleges, youth groups, homes for older people and Civic Centres.  Towns and villages she visited were Antrim, Larne, Newtownabbey,  Ballyclare, Doagh, Carrickfergus and Whitehead.

In the Carrickfergus and Whitehead areas the President visited Greenisland Primary School, Greenisland Abbeyfield Home, Carrickfergus Methodist Parent and Toddlers Group, Carrickfergus College and Carrickfergus Methodist Youth Clubs.
