On Sunday 9 March 2014 Whitehead Methodist Church and the Islandmagee Methodist Church said their farewells to Rev Shannon DeLaureal and her family.
The Rev DeLaurel is the current Methodist Minister at Greenisland Methodist Church, which is – like Whitehead and Islandmagee – part of the Carrickfergus Circuit. In June this year, she will be leaving the Carrickfergus Circuit to move to Tipperary.
The Methodist churches on the Carrickfergus Circuit regularly exchange ministers for Sunday worship, and on Sunday Rev DeLaureal led her final worships at the Whitehead and Islandmagee churches.
The Services were very warm and quite emotional as Rev DeLaureal made her farewells.
In Whitehead she was presented with a gift from the congregation by Miss Vera Girvan.
Everyone had a fantastic time at our annual Coffee Morning and Sale on 4 June. 
A beautiful painting by local artist Shirley Snook will be auctioned by Islandmagee Methodist Church.
