The Whitehead Methodist Craft and Arts Fair held from the 1st – 3rd May at the Methodist church was a roaring success.
Over 700 people from throughout Northern Ireland visited the event over the 3 days and over £2900 was raised for the Church’s Building Fund.
On sale and on display were arts and crafts produced by members of the Whitehead Methodist Craft Group and local artists such as Joanne Campbell, Stephen Martin, Robert Gaston and many more.
Carol Magowan, a member of the Craft Group said, “We are very, very pleased with the fantastic turn out. The Whitehead Methodist Church is delighted to be able to show off the artistic skills of local artists and crafts people.”
To date the Whitehead Methodist Church has raised almost £120,000 towards their Building Fund which will be used to extend the church’s premises enabling them to increase their local community activities and provide better facilities for their Sunday School which now has over fifteen members. They hope to start work on the building project early in 2015.
