2013 Church Family Outing to the Transport Museum
On Saturday 20th September, 12 noon to about 3pm the Church Family Outing will be held in Carnfunnock Country Park.
It is open to everyone – not just the young folk, EVERYONE.
There is lots to see and do, an activity centre, putting green, walks in various gardens and a picnic area – bring your own picnic (there is also a coffee shop).
One of the special things the young people will be participating in will be sponsored “Scooterthon” where people will have been invited to sponsor them to raise funds for two good causes:
- Whitehead Methodist Church new church hall
- Kids4School
Kids4School is working with schools in Tanzania which have little or no writing or reading materials. Money raised will be used to buy “scholar packs” containing writing pad, pencils and pens, a geometry set and a small calculator all contained in a plastic document wallet.
The Sunday School will be supporting this project throughout September. At the Harvest Sunday service the children will present the packs to the local Kids4School organiser for sending on to Tanzania.
Everyone had a fantastic time at our annual Coffee Morning and Sale on 4 June. 
A beautiful painting by local artist Shirley Snook will be auctioned by Islandmagee Methodist Church.
