1) Airships Over Ulster – Link to Whitehead Methodist Church Member
The first feature is by John Barnett who informs us about Miss Vera Girvan’s contribution to the book Airships over Ulster by Guy Warner. Vera is a member of the Whitehead Methodist Church.
2) Whitehead Children’s Home During First World War
During the war one of Whitehead’s spacious residences became a refuge for children. It was owned by Belfast Central Mission, a Methodist charitable organisation.

4) The Life and Times of Arthur Dobbs Esquire
About 5 miles from Whitehead on the road to Kilroot there is the entrance to a large house and estate called “Castle Dobbs”. The house and grounds are strictly private but in the 17th century it was the home of Arthur Dobbs.
Everyone had a fantastic time at our annual Coffee Morning and Sale on 4 June. 
A beautiful painting by local artist Shirley Snook will be auctioned by Islandmagee Methodist Church.
